Websites as Content

viewneo allows you to display any website as content on your screens. Websites are rendered as live, interactive pages and can be added to playlists just like images or videos.

Adding a Website

There are two ways to add a website as content:

1. Add button — Click Add and select Add Website
2. Right-click menu — Right-click in the content area and select Add Website

Required Information

When adding a website, you need to provide:

• Name — A label for how the website appears in your content library
• URL — The full web address of the site to display

Authentication

For websites that require a login, viewneo offers an advanced settings section where you can enter a username and password.

Caution

Website authentication may not work with all sites. Success depends on the specific authentication method used by the website. Sites with complex login flows (e.g., multi-factor authentication, CAPTCHAs) may not be compatible.

Using Websites in Slides

You can also embed websites into slides and templates through the Content Designer:

1. Add the website as content first (using the steps above)
2. In the Designer, click the + icon and select Media file
3. Choose the website from your content library
4. Position and resize it on the stage

This allows you to combine a website with other elements like text, images, or shapes in a single slide.

Requirements

• The player must have an active internet connection to display websites
• Websites are rendered in real-time, so loading times depend on the site and the player’s connection speed
