Setup

Step 1: Connect the Hardware

1. Screw the Wi-Fi antenna onto the antenna connector of the SignageBox
2. Connect the SignageBox to your screen using an HDMI cable
3. Plug in the power adapter — the SignageBox starts automatically

Step 2: Establish a Network Connection

The SignageBox III needs an internet connection to receive content.

• Ethernet (recommended): Connect a network cable to the RJ45 port. The connection is established automatically.
• Wi-Fi: Configure the Wi-Fi network via the device settings (see the “Settings” section below).

Step 3: Link the Player to Your viewneo Account

After startup, the SignageBox displays an activation code on the screen.

1. Log in to the CMS at cloud.viewneo.com
2. Under Devices, select the group the player should be added to
3. Click Activate device
4. Enter a device name and the activation code
5. Click Activate

For details, see Activate device.

The player connects to your account and starts downloading the assigned content.

Settings

To open the device settings, connect a USB mouse and click the screen several times until a lock icon appears in the top right corner. Click the lock icon to open the player menu.

PIN protection

If a PIN has been configured, you must enter it when opening the menu. After three failed attempts, input is locked for 5 minutes.

Wi-Fi

1. Open the Settings
2. Select Wi-Fi
3. Enable Wi-Fi and select your network from the list
4. Enter the password and confirm with Connect

Note

The SignageBox III supports Wi-Fi certificates, but not LAN certificates. If you need LAN certificates for your corporate network, we recommend the Qbic FHD-100.

Ethernet

When a network cable is connected, the Ethernet connection is established automatically. For static IP addresses:

1. Open the Settings
2. Select Ethernet
3. Change the connection type from DHCP to Static
4. Enter the IP address, subnet mask, gateway and DNS server
5. Confirm with Save

Resolution

1. Open the Settings
2. Select Resolution
3. Select the desired resolution from the list

Setting	Description
Auto	Automatic detection of the optimal resolution (recommended)
3840 x 2160 (4K)	Maximum resolution
1920 x 1080 (Full HD)	For screens without 4K support

Tip

Use the Auto setting unless display problems occur. The player automatically selects the optimal resolution for the connected screen.

Language

1. Open the Settings
2. Select Language
3. Select the desired language from the list

App Menu

The app menu shows all apps installed on the SignageBox. Typically, you only need the pre-installed viewneo Player App.

Caution

Do not install or uninstall any additional apps on the SignageBox unless viewneo support asks you to. Doing so can affect the stability of the player.
