Adding a Device

To display content on a screen, you need to register your media player in the viewneo CMS.

Prerequisites

Before adding a device, you must have at least one device group to assign it to.

Step-by-Step

Step 1: Select a Device Group

Section titled “Step 1: Select a Device Group”

Go to Devices in the CMS and select the device group where you want to add the new device. The group settings will appear on the right side.

Step 2: Add the Device

Click the + button within the selected device group to create a new device.

Step 3: Enter Device Information

Section titled “Step 3: Enter Device Information”
  • Name — Enter a descriptive name for the device (e.g., “Lobby Screen 1”)
  • Activation Key — Enter the activation key displayed on the monitor after connecting a new player

Result

Section titled “Result”

The new device appears in the device list on the left side, under its assigned device group. It will begin downloading and playing the playlist assigned to the group.
