Reset (Soft Reset)

A soft reset restores the SignageStick to factory settings via the Android settings.

1. Open the player menu and switch to the System tab
2. Click Settings
3. Select Backup & Reset
4. Select Factory Data Reset
5. Confirm with Reset Tablet
6. Confirm with Erase Everything

Danger

A soft reset via the Android settings deletes all local content and settings. The player must then be set up again and re-registered.

Factory Reset (Hard Reset with Paperclip)

If the SignageStick no longer starts correctly, only shows the boot logo, or becomes completely unresponsive, a hard reset can be performed using the physical reset button.

Prerequisites

You need a USB keyboard and a pointed object, such as a paperclip.

1. Disconnect the SignageStick from power (the HDMI connection to the screen can remain)
2. Connect a USB keyboard via the USB port
3. The setup should look like this: SignageStick connected to the screen via HDMI, keyboard connected via USB

4. On the side of the stick, there is a small reset hole. Press the button inside the hole with the paperclip and hold it down. Simultaneously connect the power and continue holding the button for 3 more seconds

5. The recovery menu appears on the screen. Navigate with the arrow keys on the keyboard to wipe data/factory reset and press Enter

6. Confirm with Yes — delete all user data

7. After completion, select Reboot system now

Danger

A hard reset deletes all local content and settings. The player must then be set up again and re-registered in your viewneo account. Delete the old device registration in your account beforehand.
