Reset (Soft Reset)

A soft reset restores the SignageBox to factory settings via the Android settings.

1. Open the player menu and switch to the System tab
2. Click Settings
3. Select Backup & Reset
4. Select Factory Data Reset
5. Enable Erase SD Card and confirm with Reset Tablet
6. Confirm with Erase Everything

Danger

A soft reset via the Android settings deletes all local content and settings. The player must then be set up again and re-registered.

Factory Reset (Hard Reset with Paperclip)

If the SignageBox no longer starts correctly or becomes unresponsive, a hard reset can be performed using the physical reset button.

Prerequisites

You need a USB keyboard and a pointed object, such as a paperclip or SIM card ejector tool.

1. Disconnect the power cable from the device
2. Connect a USB keyboard and the HDMI cable
3. On the left side of the device, there is a small opening marked with R. Insert the paperclip or SIM card ejector tool and hold the button down

4. Continue holding the button while simultaneously connecting the power cable. Keep holding the button until the message boot appears on the display

5. The recovery menu appears on the screen. Select Wipe data/factory reset

6. Confirm with Yes

7. After completion, the message Data wipe complete appears

8. Select Reboot system now — the device restarts and is reset

Danger

A hard reset deletes all local content and settings. The player must then be set up again and re-registered in your viewneo account. Delete the old device registration in your account beforehand.
