What is RFID Hub?

The viewneo RFID system enables interactive Digital Signage installations based on the Lift & Learn principle. When a customer picks up a product from a shelf, matching content is automatically displayed on a nearby screen.

The RFID system consists of several components that work together:

  1. Each product on the shelf has an RFID tag attached to it.
  2. An RFID reader is mounted underneath the shelf surface.
  3. The reader detects when a product (and its tag) is lifted from the shelf.
  4. The signal is sent via the RFID gateway to the viewneo player.
  5. The player automatically displays the content associated with that product’s tag.

When the product is placed back on the shelf, the reader detects the tag again and the display returns to its default content or playlist.

Lift & Learn is an interactive retail concept that turns passive product displays into engaging experiences:

  • A customer approaches a display shelf with products.
  • They pick up a product they are interested in.
  • The screen immediately shows detailed information about that specific product — features, pricing, videos, comparisons.
  • When the product is returned, the screen goes back to general content.

This creates a natural, intuitive interaction without requiring the customer to touch a screen or use a mobile device.
