Filters

Filters allow you to narrow down when a trigger should activate. Without filters, a trigger fires every time its condition is met. With filters, you can restrict triggers to specific content, content types, or time windows.

Restricts the trigger to a specific content item in the playlist. The trigger only fires when that particular item is involved.

Restricts the trigger based on the name of the content. Useful for matching content by naming convention without selecting individual items.

Limits the trigger to specific content formats:

  • Video
  • Image
  • Template/Slide
  • Website

Restricts the trigger to a specific time window. You can combine two Date and Time filters to create a precise range (e.g., only between 9:00 and 17:00).

Multiple filters can be connected using logical operators:

  • AND — All filter conditions must be met for the trigger to fire
  • OR — The trigger fires if any one of the filter conditions is met

This allows you to build complex conditions. For example:

  • Trigger fires only for videos AND only on weekdays
  • Trigger fires for content named “Promo” OR content named “Sale”
  1. Edit a playlist and open the Events tab
  2. Select or create a trigger
  3. Click Add Filter
  4. Choose the filter type and configure the condition
  5. Add additional filters and set the linking operator (AND/OR) if needed
