Soccer Plugin

The Soccer Plugin displays current league standings and match day information from major European football leagues on your digital signage screens.

Prerequisites

• An active viewneo subscription that includes the Soccer Plugin
• At least one registered player

Note

The Soccer Plugin is a Content Plugin that must be activated separately in your subscription. You can check whether it’s included under Account > Subscription > Add-on Plans. Learn how to activate plugins in the article Activate Plugins.

Supported Leagues

The plugin provides data for the following European leagues:

Creating a Soccer Content

Step 1: Open the Media Library

1. Navigate to the Media Library in the sidebar
2. Right-click in the content area or use the Add button
3. Select Soccer from the list of content types

Step 2: Configure the Plugin

The settings dialog offers the following options:

Setting	Description
Name	A name for the content for internal reference
Country	Select the country to filter available leagues
League	Select the league to display (depends on selected country)
Highlighted team	Optional: Highlight a specific team in the standings or match view
View	Choose between Tables (league standings) or Match Day (current match day results)
Display Language	The language for the display
Highlight color	The color used to highlight the selected team
Background color	The background color of the display

Tip

Use the Highlighted team option to visually emphasize the local team in your region — ideal for sports bars, club venues, or employee lounges. Customize the highlight and background colors to match your branding.

Step 3: Save and Add to Playlist

1. Click Save to create the soccer content
2. The new content appears in your media library
3. Add the content to a playlist as usual

Caution

The player requires an active internet connection to display current scores and standings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the results updated live?

Yes, the data is updated automatically as long as the player is connected to the internet.

Can I display multiple leagues at the same time?

Each Soccer content item displays one league. To show multiple leagues, create a separate content item for each league and add them all to your playlist.
