Content Sharing Plugin

The Content Sharing Plugin lets you share content with other viewneo users — individual slides, templates, or entire folders. This is particularly useful for franchise systems, partner networks, or centralized content distribution to multiple locations.

  • An active viewneo subscription that includes the Content Sharing Plugin
  • The email address of the recipients (they must also be viewneo users)

The following content types can be sent to other users:

  • Individual slides — e.g., finished promotional or info slides
  • Templates — reusable templates for your recipients
  • Folders with content — share entire content collections at once

Recipients can use the received content directly in their playlists.

  1. Navigate to the Media Library in the sidebar
  2. Right-click on the desired content or folder
  3. Select Send to… from the context menu
  1. Enter the email address of the desired recipient
  2. Add additional recipients if needed
  3. Click OK to send the content

Recipients receive a notification within their viewneo CMS that they have received content. The shared content is then available in their media library.

A headquarters creates uniform advertising content and templates and distributes them to all franchisees. Individual locations only need to add the content to their playlists.

The marketing department shares current campaign slides and corporate communications centrally to all branches.

viewneo partners provide their customers with ready-made content and templates — an attractive service that saves customers a lot of time.

Does the recipient also need the Content Sharing Plugin?

Section titled “Does the recipient also need the Content Sharing Plugin?”

The recipient needs an active viewneo account to receive and use shared content.

Once shared, content is in the recipient’s media library. Retraction is not possible — so only send content that is intended for the recipient.

Are changes to the original automatically updated for the recipient?

Section titled “Are changes to the original automatically updated for the recipient?”

Shared content is transferred as a copy. Later changes to the original content are not automatically passed on to the recipient.
