Display Timer Plugin
The Display Timer Plugin lets you turn your screens on and off on a schedule. This saves power and reduces the operating hours of your displays — for example overnight, on weekends, or outside business hours.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- An active viewneo subscription that includes the Display Timer Plugin
- At least one registered viewneo device (SignageBox, SignageStick, etc.)
How the Display Timer Works
Section titled “How the Display Timer Works”The Display Timer sends commands to your player at the configured times:
- Start time: The HDMI signal is sent to the screen — the screen is “woken” from standby
- End time: The HDMI signal is interrupted — the screen switches to standby mode
Important: The timer controls the screen, not the player itself. The player stays powered on and continues to sync content, even when the screen is in standby.
