Live View Plugin
The Live View Plugin lets you see directly in the viewneo CMS what content is currently being displayed on your players — without having to be on-site. Check your displays conveniently from your desk.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- An active viewneo subscription that includes the Live View Plugin
- At least one registered viewneo device
- Reports must be enabled for the device (see setup below)
Setting Up Live View
Section titled “Setting Up Live View”Step 1: Enable Reports
Section titled “Step 1: Enable Reports”Before you can use Live View, Reports must be enabled for the desired device:
- Navigate to Devices in the sidebar
- Select the device group and then the device
- Open the Advanced Settings
- Switch to the Reports tab
- Enable the Reports function
- Click Save
Step 2: Open Live View
Section titled “Step 2: Open Live View”- Navigate to Devices in the sidebar
- Right-click on the desired device
- Select Live View from the context menu
Step 3: View the Preview
Section titled “Step 3: View the Preview”A preview window opens showing the current screen output of the player. You see the content that is currently being played on the display.
Use Cases
Section titled “Use Cases”Companies with Multiple Locations
Section titled “Companies with Multiple Locations”Check displays in remote branches without having to travel on-site — e.g., whether current campaigns are being displayed correctly.
Retail
Section titled “Retail”Verify from headquarters whether promotional displays in all stores are playing the correct content.
Education
Section titled “Education”Check info displays on campus from the administration office to ensure timetables and announcements are displayed correctly.
Frequently Asked Questions
Section titled “Frequently Asked Questions”Is Live View a livestream?
Section titled “Is Live View a livestream?”Live View shows a current snapshot of the screen output. It is not a continuous video stream.
Can I use Live View for multiple devices simultaneously?
Section titled “Can I use Live View for multiple devices simultaneously?”You can open Live View for each device individually by right-clicking on the respective device.
Why don’t I see the Live View option?
Section titled “Why don’t I see the Live View option?”Make sure Reports are enabled for the device in question. Without enabled Reports, the Live View function is not available.
