Website Interaction Plugin
The Website Interaction Plugin connects your online presence with your digital signage displays. When a visitor touches the touch screen, the running playlist is interrupted and a stored interactive website is displayed. After a configurable period without input, the content automatically returns to the playlist.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- An active viewneo subscription that includes the Website Interaction Plugin
- A touch-capable screen
- At least one registered viewneo device
- A website content item in the media library (must be created beforehand)
How the Plugin Works
Section titled “How the Plugin Works”- Your playlist runs as usual on the display
- A visitor touches the screen
- The playlist is interrupted and the stored website is displayed
- The visitor can interact with the website
- After a configurable period without input, the content automatically returns to the playlist
Setting Up Website Interaction
Section titled “Setting Up Website Interaction”Step 1: Create a Website Content Item
Section titled “Step 1: Create a Website Content Item”Before you can activate the interaction, the desired website content must be stored in the media library.
Step 2: Open Advanced Settings
Section titled “Step 2: Open Advanced Settings”- Navigate to Devices in the sidebar
- Select a device or a device group
- Open the Advanced Settings
- Find the Interaction setting
Step 3: Configure the Interaction
Section titled “Step 3: Configure the Interaction”Set Interaction to Allow. Additional settings fields appear:

| Return (in sec.) | The time period without input after which the playlist automatically resumes |
Step 4: Save
Section titled “Step 4: Save”Click Save. The setting will be transferred to the player during the next sync.
Use Cases
Section titled “Use Cases”Retail
Section titled “Retail”Customers touch the display in the sales area and access your online shop or product catalog — a direct bridge from brick-and-mortar retail to e-commerce.
Hospitality
Section titled “Hospitality”Guests in the hotel lobby tap the display and can interactively browse the menu, events, or local attractions.
Healthcare
Section titled “Healthcare”Patients in the waiting area can access an online information portal by touching the display — e.g., for health tips or department information.

Can I store different websites for different devices?
Section titled “Can I store different websites for different devices?”Yes. The interaction setting is configured per device or device group. Each device can have a different website stored.
Do I need a special screen?
Section titled “Do I need a special screen?”Yes, the screen must be touch-capable for the interaction to work. Without touch functionality, the plugin cannot be used.
