Zapier Plugin
The Zapier Plugin connects viewneo with over 1,000 apps — including Google Calendar, Trello, Salesforce, HubSpot, WordPress, and many more. Transfer information and metrics automatically to your screens, without any programming knowledge.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- An active viewneo subscription that includes the Zapier Plugin
- A Zapier account (create for free at zapier.com)
What is a Zap?
Section titled “What is a Zap?”The connections between apps are called Zaps in Zapier. A Zap consists of at least:

You can define Zaps between two or more apps.
Setting Up the Zapier Plugin
Section titled “Setting Up the Zapier Plugin”Step 1: Create a Zapier Account
Section titled “Step 1: Create a Zapier Account”If you don’t have one yet, create a free account at zapier.com.
Step 2: Open the Plugin in viewneo
Section titled “Step 2: Open the Plugin in viewneo”- Navigate to Plugins in viewneo (sidebar, bottom left)
- A modal window opens with all available plugins
- Select the Zapier Plugin
Step 3: Select a Zap Template
Section titled “Step 3: Select a Zap Template”viewneo provides pre-built Zap templates that you can use right away. Select a template and click Use this Zap — you’ll be automatically redirected to the Zapier page.
Step 4: Configure the Zap
Section titled “Step 4: Configure the Zap”The setup follows Zapier’s instructions:
- Configure Trigger: Select the trigger app and event (e.g., “Weather by Zapier” → “Will it rain today”)
- Connect viewneo: Click Connect an Account and confirm the connection to your viewneo account
- Configure Action: Select the viewneo action (e.g., “Change Playlist”), then the device group and the playlist to be played when triggered
Step 5: Activate the Zap
Section titled “Step 5: Activate the Zap”Once all steps are successfully configured, activate the Zap. From now on, viewneo automatically responds to the defined event.
Practical Example: Weather-Controlled Playlist
Section titled “Practical Example: Weather-Controlled Playlist”Scenario: When it rains, a different playlist should automatically play on the displays.

Result: When rain is forecast for the selected location, the playlist on all displays in the device group automatically switches.

Corporate — Calendar Integration
Section titled “Corporate — Calendar Integration”Connect Google Calendar with viewneo: When a meeting starts, the display in the meeting room automatically switches to the welcome playlist.
Hospitality — Social Media
Section titled “Hospitality — Social Media”New Instagram or Facebook posts are automatically displayed on lobby screens as soon as they are published.

Section titled “Do I need programming knowledge?”No. Zapier is a no-code platform — connections are created visually through the Zapier interface. For advanced API integrations, the API Plugin is available.
Is Zapier free?
Section titled “Is Zapier free?”Zapier offers a free plan with a limited number of Zaps and executions. For more extensive automation, paid Zapier plans are available.
Which viewneo actions are available in Zapier?
