viewneo for Android

The viewneo Player App is the software that plays your content on the screen. It is pre-installed on all viewneo devices and can be manually installed on additional Android-based platforms.

Installation

viewneo Devices

The Player App is already pre-installed on all viewneo SignageBoxes and the Qbic FHD-100. After powering on, the app starts automatically.

APK Installation on Other Android Devices

For third-party Android devices, you can install the Player App as an APK file:

1. Request the viewneo Player APK via the download form — you will receive the download link by email
2. Transfer the APK file to the Android device (via USB drive or download)
3. Open the APK file on the device
4. Confirm the installation

Note

On third-party devices, the full viewneo feature set is not guaranteed. Some features may not be available due to system restrictions.

Philips D-Line

Prerequisites:

• Download the viewneo Player APK via the download form and copy the file to a USB drive

APK Installation via Admin Mode

1. Connect the USB drive with the APK file to a USB port on the display
2. Press HOME 1 8 8 8 on the TV remote control in quick succession to open Admin Mode
3. Select Apps
4. Open FileManager and navigate to the mnt folder
5. Open USB_storage, select the APK file, and run it
6. Return to Admin Mode and select SignageDisplay
7. Navigate to Source Settings > Custom App and enable the viewneo Player App
8. Exit the menu and select Custom in the device’s source menu — the viewneo Player App starts

Alternative: Philips Wave (Remote Installation)

1. Log in to the Philips Wave platform
2. Add the viewneo Player APK as an app
3. Assign the app to your Philips display
4. Installation is performed automatically over the network

Tip

Installation via Philips Wave is especially efficient for multiple displays, as you can distribute the app centrally.

Amazon Fire TV

1. Open the viewneo Player in the Amazon App Store on your Fire TV Stick
2. Install the app
3. Open the app and log in with your viewneo credentials

Note

The Amazon Fire TV Stick offers limited functionality and is not suitable for professional 24/7 continuous operation. For professional use, we recommend a dedicated viewneo player.

Register the Player

After installation, the Player App displays a registration code. Link the player to your viewneo account:

1. Log in at www.viewneo.com/login
2. Navigate to Devices
3. Click Add Device
4. Enter the registration code
5. Click Save

Third-Party Devices

When installing on third-party devices (non-viewneo hardware), please note:

• The full feature set is not guaranteed
• Some features may not be available due to system restrictions
• 24/7 continuous operation is device-dependent and not guaranteed
• viewneo does not provide a warranty for the hardware
