Hard Reset SignageBox I
Sometimes it is necessary to perform a hard reset on the SignageBox.To perform this reset, the following instructions must be followed.
4K SignageBox I
This concerns version 1 of the 4K SignageBox. For version 2 please go to the next section.
If the viewneo 4K SignageBox does not start correctly and you only see the boot logo ("viewneo") or the box does not work at all, you need to reset the device according to the following steps:
You will need a USB keyboard and a pointed object, such as a paper clip.
- Unplug the power cord from the device and connect your USB keyboard and HDMI cable to the device.
- Now you need a paper clip to press the button in the small hole on the back of the device.
- While holding down this button, connect the power cord to the device. After connecting the power cord, press and hold die Taste einige Sekunden lang gedrückt.
- If everything worked correctly, you will see the following on your screen. Now select wipe data/factory reset.
- Next, you need to select Yes -- delete all user data so that the device will be reset to factory defaults.
- When the process is complete, you should see the following message.
- Finally, you just need to click Reboot system now and the device will work again.
4K SignageBox II
You will need a USB keyboard and a pointed object, such as a paper clip.
- Disconnect the power cord from the device and connect your USB keyboard and HDMI cable to the device.
- Now you need a paper clip or sim card key to press the button on the small opening on the left side of the device (marked with R). (see picture)
- Press and hold this key and connect the power cord to the device while pressing the key. After connecting the power cable, press the key until the message boot appears on the display of the device.
- If everything worked correctly, you will see the following on your screen. Now select Wipe data/factory reset.
- Next, you must select Yes to reset the device to factory settings. 6.When the process is complete, you should see this message in the lower left corner of your screen.
- Finally, you just need to click Reboot System now and the device will work again.
Unfortunately, you need to restore the Internet connection in the setup process and register the device in your viewneo account again.
Please note that you must delete the previous device registration beforehand.
