Digital Signage in Affiliate and Franchise Stores

Chain retail stores and franchises are particularly well suited for developing a Digital Signage network. This example attempts to show how viewneo can be used to share standardized external communication, regional promotions and centrally controlled content in a large branch network.


Concept and Goal

In this case we hope to show that Digital Signage can be used to:

  • give stores a modern appearance,
  • attract the attention of passing customers,
  • centralize and manage marketing actions,
  • and provide branches the freedom to customize their messages.

We intend to show the variety of ways that Digital Signage can be incorporated into retail branches. These displays will feature content that is established by corporate headquarters, as well as, content manually developed by the individual branch. To increase visibility, several screens are installed per store:

Shop Window Display: The shop window is the first point of contact between the shop and the customers. Appealing, eye-catching offers have the ability to garner interest and encourage those walking by to enter the store. By fixing the layout and using a proprietary font, you can create a consistent look and feel that is instantly recognizable. Content which is developed by headquarters can be allocated to the different device groups and then displayed in shop windows all over the country or the world.

Information Terminal: The sales area provides a great place to install a display that can be used to promote sales. This can be in the form of an interactive display or a touch-enabled terminal that can provide customers with useful information. Additionally, when the store is experiencing a high volume of customers, the screens can help support the sales staff by providing answers to questions or allowing the customer to access what is currently in stock.

Easily accessible product information helps to relieve the sales staff, while at the same time providing the customers with a feeling not having to wait so long to get their questions answered. In addition to featuring offers that are valid at all branch locations, local or regional promotions can also be created by store management and integrated into the playlist easily.

Counter-Display: By the time a customer makes it to the cash register you can almost guarantee that you have gotten their attention. It’s an interesting area as it features those customers with the highest willingness to buy, but also potentially long wait times. This makes it an optimal area to highlight special offers and create brand awareness. It is also a good place to incorporate a variety of central, regional, and store specific advertising and special offers.
